H2GO Annual Flushing to Begin 4/16/18
4/16/2018 8:38:17 AM
H2GO will begin their annual flushing program on Monday April 16, 2018 around 1 P.M. The flushing will begin in the Waterford/Magnolia Greens area and we will work down the system over the next few weeks to ensure an even flush and proper flow of the process.
Employees flush the water mains by opening fire hydrants and allowing them to flow freely for a short period of time. The flushing cleans out sediment and allows routine maintenance of the more than 1,000 fire hydrants in the H2GO district.
Flushing may result in discoloration, odors and presence of sediment in your water. These conditions are not harmful and should be of short duration. If you experience these conditions, please run your water for a short period of time to clear any sediment, discoloration or odor. If you still experience these conditions after a few hours, you can call H2GO at (910) 371-9949.
