H2GO Wins First Place Float in Leland Parade
8/9/2017 3:23:23 PM
On December 10, 2016 the Unity Group of North Brunswick hosted their 24th annual Christmas Festival and Parade. H2GO participated in the parade this year, entering their ‘Overflowing with Christmas Joy’ float. The float featured a water fountain consisting of four toilets overflowing with water and two toilets and two fire hydrants spraying water into the fountain. Employees Matt Morgan, Jared Glick, Brian Griffith, Joe Kearny, Bob Walker and Tyler Wittkofsky rode the float through the parade. H2GO tossed out footballs, rubber ducks, candy and toilet paper to parade viewers.
The ingenuity of the float was largely inspired by Bob Walker, Jared Glick, Brian Griffith and Deana Greiner. The float took about two weeks to complete, with H2GO starting their brainstorming process several months ago. H2GO uses this opportunity as an annual team building exercise to build a sense of unity and accomplishment among the employees. H2GO won First Place Float in the 2016 Christmas Festival and Parade, marking their fourth First Place finish in the last five years, after sitting out of last year’s parade. Floats in the past include: toilet merry-go-rounds, water towers, and more. Along with their first place plaque, H2GO received a $100 check from the Unity Group which they plan to donate to Toys for Tots. H2GO believes in giving back to the community, especially around this time of the year.
H2GO has already begun brainstorming for next year’s Christmas parade and plan to take first place for the fifth time.
