As a targeted result of your H2GO Board of Commissioner’s decision to move forward with the proposed reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment plant project, we have determined that our long-term water revenue requirements are not as great as they would have been had the Commissioners decided on a water supply strategy to continue to purchase wholesale water from Brunswick County Public Utilities.

By Board Action on 6/21/2016 - “NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Brunswick Regional Water & Sewer H2GO Board of Commissioners has performed its due diligence in evaluating alternative water supplies to determine that moving forward with the RO water treatment project is the most favorable alternative to insure a resilient, sustainable water supply for the long-term benefit of the District, to manage and stabilize the lowest possible rates for customers of H2GO, and to accommodate the growth and economic development of the communities served by H2GO.”

Our customer base is rapidly growing, and the long-term savings to be realized from producing our own potable water from the proposed reverse osmosis (RO) water plant will generate a water revenue savings that we can pass along to you, our valued H2GO customers.  Although the new reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment plant will not be operational until 2019, we can pass along some of the long-term savings to you, beginning today!  We anticipate that the RO water treatment plant operations will allow us to manage rates at or below this level for the foreseeable future.
