I. Description of Treatment Process: the plant is an extended aeration package plant, it is permitted to flow .4 million gallons per day. The plant is located at 9911 Chappell Loop Road and treats waste from the town of Belville as well as outlying subdivisions on Highway 133 and Highway 17 corridors. The facility discharges into the Brunswick River off of Highway 133.
II. Treatment Process/Performance: The Belville WWTP treated approximately 61.21 million gallons from May of 2008 to March of 2009. The facility’s average daily flow from March, 2008 to May, 2009 was .1826 million gallons per day. The monthly average flow thru the facility was 5.56 million gallons. The plant treated approximately 45.5% of its designed and permitted flow. The plant also has an influent transfer pump that discharges to Brunswick County’s Northeast Treatment Plant. From May of 2008 to March of 2009 a total of 53.76 million gallons was sent to the county’s plant from the Belville plant, the daily average was .161 million gallons. There was one major repair made to the plant in the past year, some structural were put in place supports and several leaks where repaired by LCM Inc.
